After meeting your guide at your hotel or a designated spot you will begin your tour by foot exploring the streets of Florence which lead to the Pitti Palace, the Florentine home of the House of Medici.

In 1458 the Florentine banker Luca Pitti commissioned Luca Fancali, pupil of Brunelleschi, to construct the Palazzo Pitti or Pitti Palace. In 1549 it was sold to the House of Medici. In 1919 Vittorio Emmanuelle III presented the Pitti palace to the nation and thus it became a museum and national heritage.

In this tour, we will take you for a walk through the royal apartments, galleries of modern art, costumes, silverware and porcelain. Of special interest is the “Galleria Palatina” which houses one of the best collections of Titians and Raphaels in the world. At an additional cost sometimes there may be a possibility to view special exhibitions.

After viewing the magnificent treasures of the Pitti Palace we will now proceed to the charming renaissance gardens situated on the hill behind the museum. As you walk along the cypress lanes in the gardens you can observe the occasional Baroque and Roccoco touches along the way. The botanical gardens are beautiful and you can also spot hidden statues and bubbling fountains.

Inside the garden you can also visit the porcelain museum with the same ticket you buy for the Pitti Palace. The “Bardini Gardens “are a new and recently added attraction and are a continuation of the Boboli Gardens. Here you can find more than sixty varieties of azaleas and ortensias.

After visiting these beautiful gardens we will reach the typical Florentine neighbourhood of “San Nicollo”. This are is filled with picturesque cafes called trattatorias. You can have a traditional and tasty lunch in any one of these cafes.

After lunch our driver will pick you up and we will proceed towards two Medici Villas situated outside Florence. These historic villas are filled with frescoes, paintings and beautiful furnishings. The gardens are well laid out and landscaped with statues, sculptures and grottos and of course beautiful trees and plants.

After enjoying the delights of the Medici Villas we will return to Florence and drop you at your hotel or the designated point. By now you have had gathered a lot of pleasant memories and beautiful pictures and photos which will always remind you of the pleasant times you have spent with us.
